The illustration features key political figures of the USSR – V. I. Lenin, J. V. Stalin, and L. D. Trotsky. In the background are the Kremlin clock, revolutionary soldiers carrying a coffin, and a newspaper with the headline “Who?..”. The composition is rich in symbols of ideological crisis and a rethinking of the Soviet past. The imagery evokes a sense of anxious historical transition.
