Watermark - profile of Lenin (matching the obverse).
Obverse: the central element is the portrait of V. I. Lenin in profile, the State Emblem of the USSR, and the denomination indicated in both words and numbers. On the right white stripe, inside a stylized brown rosette, the denomination “50” is placed, with the year of issue “1991” printed above in green.
Reverse: features an oval vignette of the Grand Kremlin Palace and the Tainitskaya Tower. The denomination is given in numerals and words in the languages of the Soviet republics. The series and number appear twice - in the left colored field and on the white stripe.
