Brass Chest, 19th Century
A carefully crafted and ornamented chest, made of bone and decorated with brass, this is one of the oldest items in the collection.
The front panel, lid, and edges are entirely made of bone; the corners are covered with brass.
The chest was intended for storing small items. The lid is decorated with various patterns and secured with small nails. It locks with a key.
