Description
Balbal Stone. A stone sculpture carved in the image of an ancient person from a single natural stone and installed vertically. The facial features-eyes, nose, lips, hairstyle, and body shape-are depicted in a simplified manner. The hands are carved as brought together in front of the body, holding a small vessel. This balbal stone was discovered in the village of Araltobe, Kerbulak district.
Dating: 19th century.
