Description

Kimeshek
A traditional national headwear worn by Kazakh women. The front panel and the hood that covers the head are cut as a single piece and sewn in two layers. The face opening has a rectangular shape at the neckline and a rounded shape at the forehead. The edges of the opening are embroidered with gold and red threads in traditional kögerys and tangdai (palate) patterns. Back length: 133 cm.Front panel-86×75 cm, face opening-6×25 cm. 19th century
